If You Sell Information Products How Do You Get Paid?

An important part to the process when you sell information products is receiving the payment. You can either go with a company that allows you to receive payments for both physical and digital products or a company that allows you to accept only one type of product, which is the option I recommend for newcomers.

Clickbank is the best option if you are just getting started and are selling digital products only. What is great about them is that they do not charge monthly fees. Another benefit is you do not have to personally review credit card transaction details. You cannot use Clickbank for physical products but there is another option for you if you sell physical and digital products.

What option is available to you if you sell information products that are physical in nature? You have two options that are available to you. The first is to give the physical version away as a bonus and the second is to use Clickbank for the digital and another payment processor for the physical.

Another company that you can use is 1ShoppingCart. They allow you to set up both physical as well as digital products to sell online. The disadvantage to using them is that you have to pay a monthly service in order to use their service whereas other companies charge a one-time fee. Therefore you have to have the sales volume to make it worthwhile.

Another option is to use a payment processor like PayPal or MouseECommerce. PayPal is free to set up. If you sell physical and digital products, a good option is to use Clickbank for the digital product and PayPal for the physical product. How does that process work? Assuming your digital product is an ebook and your physical product is an audio CD, you sell the digital product first using Clickbank and you then offer the physical product on the download page of the digital product with a link to the PayPal Buy It Now button.

These examples are ways you can make sure you get paid for your products. If the sales justify the expense, the best option is to use 1ShoppingCart for all of your products. However, if you are new and have not developed a track record as of yet, you can use Clickbank for any digital products that you sell and PayPal for any physical products when you sell information products.
